“The Artist Challenge is one of our favorite events of the year at ART123 Gallery,” says gallupARTS Executive Director, Rose Eason. “It’s a chance for local artists to get in on the gallery scene or to try something new. And same for the community—the Challenge is an invitation to engage with creativity, and because the artwork are accessibly priced, it’s an invitation to start or add to your art collection.”
Artist Alizay Chavez comments, “My proposed artwork will explore the cyclical nature of change through symbolism of each season, representing the phases of transformation, growth, vitality, release and renewal, showing how every ending leads to a new beginning.”
“Participating in the gallupARTS Artist Challenge is both an honor and an opportunity for creative growth,” says Kristy Lynn Harbour. “I am forever grateful for gallupARTS and how much they support local artists, like me! I look forward to pushing my artistic boundaries and delivering a cohesive series that embodies the spirit of Full Circle.”
The Show Opening will be on Friday, February 13, from 5 – 7pm.
