Kids Summer Art Classes

Summer 2026
gallupARTS offers three week-long sessions of three different summer art classes for three different age groups of kids.
CLASSES
- Parent/Child Make-n-Take
- Age range: Kids ages 5 and under.
- Time: 9am – 10am
- Description: Work together with your little one on a different take-home project each day.
- Cost: $30/child/week
- Adventure Arts & Crafts
- Age range: Kids ages 6 – 8 years old.
- Time: 10:30am – 12pm
- Description: Make bucketloads of themed arts and crafts out of upcycled materials.
- Cost: $45/child/week
- Media Lab
- Age range: Kids ages 9 – 13 years old
- Time: 1 -3pm
- Description: Explore an art form in depth while making new friends and having fun!
- Cost: $60/child/week
SESSIONS
(Classes are Mondays – Thursdays each week.)
WEEK 1: June 15 – 18
9am – 10am – Parent/Child Make-n-Take
10:30am – 12pm – Adventure Arts & Crafts: Mixed Media Animals
Bring your favorite animals to life with faux stained glass, mobiles, and more art forms!
1 – 3pm – Media Lab: Puppets, puppets and more puppets!
Craft puppets from socks, juice boxes, and cardboard, and make a marionette!
WEEK 2: June 22 – 25
9am – 10am – Parent/Child Make-n-Take
10:30am – 12pm – Adventure Arts & Crafts: Fun with Watercolors
Experiment with out-of-the-box tools and paint ’till you drop!
1 – 3pm – Media Lab: Acrylic Painting: Animals and Abstracts
Learn painting techniques and capture a variety of subjects.
WEEK 3: June 29 – July 2
9am – 10am – Parent/Child Make-n-Take
10:30am – 12pm – Adventure Arts & Crafts: Discovery Garden
Make bouquets, blossoms and bugs out of different materials.
1 – 3pm – Media Lab: Acrylic Painting: Sculpture Gone Wild
Build a sculpture from scratch. Design and construct an imaginary (or not!) figure.
Studio123 Policies and Procedures:

- Drop off is available 10 minutes before class/camp start time.
- Pickup is available for 15 minutes after class/camp end time.
- Children need to be picked up promptly.
- Children should dress in a manner conducive to art-making (old t-shirts or smocks are encouraged as spills may happen!)
- Child registration forms (below) are required and can be handed in/completed at first drop-off.
- Strict sign-in/sign-out procedures are followed.
- Children should not attend if they are experiencing any symptoms of illness or have tested positive for COVID-19, if anyone in their household is sick or has tested positive for COVID-19, or if they have been exposed to anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19.
- All instructors are background-checked.
- gallupARTS will provide drinking water for children, and water bottles are encouraged.
- Children must bring lunch for camps and may bring snacks for both camps and classes.
- gallupARTS is not responsible for personal property.
- Children are expected to behave in a manner respectful of themselves, each other, instructors, craft materials, and the space.
- gallupARTS reserves the right to refuse service to any child/family who violates the above-stated policies/procedures.
