Scott L. Williams
Biography
Scott L. Williams is a Diné artist from Ft. Wingate, New Mexico. Scott’s paintings and drawings focus on themes surrounding expression, resistance, and resolution. His work gathers inspiration from life experiences, lessons, memories, written and musical work, landscapes, culture, and people. Using various materials such as oil, pencil, charcoal, marker, pen, and sculptural and performance elements, Scott creates a visual language to share how he communicates and interacts with the world around him. He continues to add to his portfolio by learning to work with other types of mediums, such as photography, video, writing, digital art, etc., to express himself in different ways, which is something he loves about art. Scott’s work has been exhibited at the Ingham Chapman and ART123 Galleries in Gallup, NM.
