Executive Director:

Rose Eason

Rose Eason has served as the Executive Director of gallupARTS since June 2016. She has her B.A. in Art History from Barnard College at Columbia University and her Ed.M. in Arts in Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Under Rose’s direction, gallupARTS has significantly expanded its role within the community and deepened its positive community impact. Rose has developed gallupARTS’ two gallery programs to more fully support artists and engage the community with art; has engineered a multi-faceted suite of youth-oriented art education programs and several new mission-based annual programs including music and art festivals; has secured and executed over $445K in grant projects and has tripled local funding; has facilitated many productive community partnerships; and has raised Gallup’s profile as an arts and cultural center at the local, state and national levels through advocacy work. 

Program Coordinator:

Tasha Nez

Tasha has been gallupARTS’ Program Assistant since October 2018. She has an A.A. in Human Services from UNM-Gallup. Tasha is a talented artist and puts her diverse skill set to work for gallupARTS. She serves as gallupARTS’ in-house graphic designer, creating program and marketing materials and assisting with social media promotions. She manages the day-to-day operations of ART123 Gallery, liaising with exhibiting artists, installing/de-installing shows, fabricating interactive window displays, and welcoming visitors. She helps coordinate and facilitate many of gallupARTS’ programs, from artist talks to workshops to festivals. Tasha also documents gallupARTS’ programs, tracking program statistics, taking photographs and video, and reporting on program outcomes. Finally, she provides critical administrative support to the organization.

gallupARTS Board Meetings
  • Board meetings are held virtually at 6pm on the third Monday of every month.
  • Meetings are open to the public.
