Summer Kids Art Classes
Announcing 2025 classes!

Class Details:
Sessions
Classes run weekly from Monday – Thursdays for three weeks in June.
CLASS DESCRIPTIONS:
- 9 – 10am: Parent/Child Arts & Crafts
- Ages: 5 and under (adults must accompany children, with a one adult per two children requirement)
- Description: Develop and work on fine motor skills while making projects to take home!
- Cost: $30/child/week
- 10:30am – 12pm: Adventure Arts & Crafts
- Ages: 6 – 8
- Description: Spark your imagination and create projects with paper, glue, scissors, clay, paint, and recycled materials!
- Cost: $45/child/week
- 1 – 3pm: Media Lab Art Class
- Ages: 8+
- Description: Master a medium (different each week) and create a masterpiece project from start to finish.
- Cost: $60/child/week

- Adventure Arts & Crafts:
- Media Lab Art Class: Beginnger Crochet –
Learn basic crochet stitches and make a “Granny Square” crocheted pouch.
- WEEK 2 (June 16 – 19):
- Parent/Child Make & Take
- Adventure Arts & Crafts:
- Media Lab Art Class: Abstract Foam Sculptures – Carve, cut, chisel, and craft your way to a one-of-a-kind masterpiece.
- WEEK 3 (June 23 – 26):
- Parent/Child Make & Take
- Adventure Arts & Crafts:
- Media Lab Art Class: Acrylic Painting – Create an artwork a day while learning different acrylic painting techniques.

DAILY SCHEDULE:
8:50 – 9:00am: Camper drop-off
9:00 – 9:30am: Art Game
9:30 – 10:30am: Art Lesson + Mini Project
10:30am – 12:00pm: “Masterpiece” Project Workshop: Cardboard Lion Sculpture
12:00 – 1:00pm: Lunch
1:00 – 2:00pm: Downtown Walking Field Trip
Visit local arts business and cultural institutions, check out downtown’s murals, and watch professional artists at work.
2:00 – 3:00pm – Take-home Craft
3:00 – 3:15pm – Camper pick-up
REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS

REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Children must be at least 8 years of age. The Spring Break Art Camp is designed for children ages 8 – 13. No children under the age of 8 will be permitted to attend. gallupARTS may require child’s birth certificate as proof that the age requirement is met.
- Guarantee your child’s spot by paying the $120 per child fee through our Square Site. Registration fees are non-refundable except in cases of emergency.
- Deadline to register: July 17.
- Registration Form, Studio123 Waiver, and Photo Release are due at first drop-off.
Studio123 Policies and Procedures:

- Drop off is available 10 minutes before class/camp start time.
- Pickup is available for 15 minutes after class/camp end time.
- Children need to be picked up promptly.
- Children should dress in a manner conducive to art-making (old t-shirts or smocks are encouraged as spills may happen!)
- Child registration forms (below) are required and can be handed in/completed at first drop-off.
- Strict sign-in/sign-out procedures are followed.
- Children should not attend if they are experiencing any symptoms of illness or have tested positive for COVID-19, if anyone in their household is sick or has tested positive for COVID-19, or if they have been exposed to anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19.
- All instructors are background-checked.
- gallupARTS will provide drinking water for children, and water bottles are encouraged.
- Children must bring lunch for camps and may bring snacks for both camps and classes.
- gallupARTS is not responsible for personal property.
- Children are expected to behave in a manner respectful of themselves, each other, instructors, craft materials, and the space.
- gallupARTS reserves the right to refuse service to any child/family who violates the above-stated policies/procedures.
