gallupARTS is a 501(c)3 nonprofit incorporated in December 2013. gallupARTS is also Gallup’s designated local arts council.
The mission of gallupARTS is to “foster creativity, culture, commerce and quality of life in Gallup and McKinley County through the arts.”
Our Board of Directors represents artists, arts-based businesses, educators, cultural organizations and people who are committed to the idea that communities rich with art are better places to live, better places to raise a family and better places to do business.
McKinley County has two-and-a-half times as many artists as any other County in New Mexico. gallupARTS works to support local artists by creating opportunities for them to display and sell their work. At the same time, we work to create opportunities for the broader community to engage with art – to see it, make it and enjoy it.
We are committed to growing Gallup’s creative economy and art scene for the benefit of the entire community. Our robust suite of programs includes two art galleries, artist talks, art festivals, rotating student art displays, art classes, and public art projects.
