Biography
Nalmerthan is a Navajo (Dine) professional artist, born, raised, and based in Gallup, NM. He is for the most part a self-taught artist with an AAS in Design and Digital Media and is currently working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Art Studio. He’s been on an art journey that started as a childhood hobby and has continued on into adulthood. Nalmerthan utilizes traditional and digital art mediums to depict everything from: landscapes to portraits, pop art and pop culture, heroes to monsters, and events in everyday life. What Art means to him? Art is a stress relief and creativity outlet for him, helping to show his feelings and emotions on many different topics and events going on locally and globally. He finds that slowing down, drawing, painting or working on any type of art and craft, helps him find his true self while also producing some awesome artwork for others to enjoy.
