The brain child of Diné jazz artist Delbert Anderson, the mission of the Blue Desert Tour is to promote healing within Indigenous communities in the Four Corners area. The Tour is a collaboration between Indigenous-led jazz bands. It is produced in partnership with gallupARTS, the Northwest New Mexico Arts Council, and additional state and regional partners. It is funded by Chamber Music America.
The first annual Blue Desert Tour took place virtually in April 2021 (and can be viewed below). The second annual was held in May 2022. In 2023, gallupARTS hosted the Jacob C. Morgan concert series and has brought the Blue Desert Tour back in 2024!
