Edison Muskett

Biography

Edison Muskett, better known as Ed, is a Diné artist who is self-taught in the use of various media in expressing the beauty of nature and people through art seen around him. He comes from a large traditional family where Navajo was his primary language, and still resides in Mexican Springs on the Navajo Nation where he grew up. He began dabbling in art at a young age in boarding school and into his high school years but did not pursue it. He began picking up the pencil, then the paint brush after having three minor strokes, and using art as a mode of therapy in 2017. He entered his art pieces into several Ceremonial and New Mexico State Fair art shows and won ribbons, and that motivated him and further captured his love of art, and to continue this journey. He uses pencil, pastels, charcoal, oil, and acrylics. Ed is still learning new techniques and strives to perfect his artistic skills every chance he gets.
